Never heard of a mirliton before. Looks tasty!
ReplyDeleteMirlitons are from a vine that grows easily on chain link fences all around the New Orleans area. People in New Orleans pronounce it mel-a-tawns. New Orleanians also call them vegetable pears. The stuffing includes shrimp. They are delicious.
