Killer Bee of Hidalgo, Texas

I've always wanted to visit Texas, especially to visit the miniature horses that are raised by nuns near Brenham, TX, where my mother's father lived as a child.
But, I have found another reason to visit Texas:  The Killer Bee Capital of the World.  Unfortunately, Hidalgo is on the Texas-Mexico border, right where hurricanes like to land, but really not at all close to Houston, Austin, and Brenham.
